In Kentucky’s Democrat Primary race for U.S. Senate, the state government shut down thousands of polling places before Tuesday’s primary: 95% of Kentucky polling places were shut down for Tuesday’s primary election: from over 3,700 polling stations to less than 200 polling stations. In Jefferson County, Kentucky ALL POLLING STATIONS WERE CLOSED except one polling place for over 600,000 voters.
Kentuckians are in a figurative fistfight with the old school White Establishment gripping Kentucky. I’m sure Mitch McConnell is thrilled at the 95% reduction in Kentucky polling places. Republicans have a long history of engaging in voter suppression and 2020 is no different.
Louisville Councilwoman Keisha Dorsey wisely filed a legal action seeking extended voting hours and a judge granted Ms. Dorsey’s request.
